Ten years ago, Scarlett Lewis’ 6-year-old son Jesse was killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School. In her grief, she stumbled on a note he had written in chalk shortly before his death: “nurturing, healing, and love.” These three words left behind by her son became fuel for her life’s work, the Choose Love Movement. In today’s show – updated from its original airing earlier this year – Jeff and Scarlett discuss how grief transforms us, and how healing is possible through practicing forgiveness.
