Learn how the U.S. government actually works,
so you can influence the issues you care about most.

Fed up or confused by the U.S. government?

You’re not alone.

Even though we live in a democracy, many voters feel powerless, especially when lobbyists and special interest groups seem to control the levers of government more so than the people. This has led to a lack of trust in our leaders and even in our fellow citizens.

Yet, your participation in American democracy matters! It may seem like you are just one more vote among millions, but when you understand how the government actually works, you can have a surprising amount of influence. After all, from your local city council to Congress in Washington D.C, government officials work FOR YOU.

Discover how to use your rights and powers as a U.S. citizen to move forward the issues you really care about. This is civics education to empower you to shape the future of democracy!

How This Course is Different

Your community has the biggest impact on your daily life, and here’s the good news: You can have a big impact on how your community is governed.

Most civics education courses focus exclusively on the federal level. While that’s important, this course is designed to teach you how government works from top to bottom and then empower you to get involved in ways that effectively influence policy and policymakers on the issues that you care about most.

This course provides a holistic approach to governance that will reframe your relationship with the public officials who serve you and your fellow citizens. You’ll come away from this course fully understanding your citizen power to shape the world and the society you live in.
