Starting Fresh with Dr. Gabor Maté & Daniel Maté
Transform your relationship with your parent or adult child.
Release Old Patterns & Reconnect in the Present
In this 10-part workshop, Gabor and Daniel offer a framework for parents and adult children to transform stuck dynamics through a combination of self-reflection, somatic inquiry, and compassionate coaching. “Starting fresh” doesn't mean the relationship will be perfect, but you will be able to engage with it in the present and approach challenges in fresh ways.
In this course you will learn:
- Why the parent / adult child relationship is so important and the common dynamics that hold us back
- A framework for approaching this relationship in a new way
- Practical theories to turn disconnection and resentment into reconnection and ease
- Why you have more choice and freedom than you realize

“I am in deep gratitude to Gabor, Daniel, and the crew at Commune for a very transformative workshop.”
~ Edward
“In adult parent-child relationships, there are at least four people there. There's who you actually are. There's who the other actually is. Then there's who you believe the other is and who the other believes you are. Sometimes the real people are not even there. It's just the other two arguing with each other.”
~ Gabor
“What you already believe about your parent or child dictates what you are expecting and how you prepare for them to show up. Then you act in a way that leads them to confirm it for you.”
~ Daniel
